What is the ideal temperature for storing wine?

Red wines are best stored at 14–18°C and served at 16–18°C. White wines and Champagne are stored at 7–13°C and served at 7–10°C. A wine chiller with a 5–22°C range covers the full spectrum for both styles.

Should I choose a single-zone or dual-zone wine chiller?

Choose a single-zone chiller (PW-28F, PW-54F, PW-80F, PW-168F) if you predominantly store one wine type. Choose a dual-zone chiller (PW-288F or PW-168DF) if you regularly serve both reds and whites and want each at its ideal temperature simultaneously.

Is a compressor wine chiller better than thermoelectric for Malaysia?

Yes. Compressor chillers (all WineTools PW-series) maintain their set temperature regardless of ambient room temperature — essential when Malaysian rooms can reach 28–35°C. Thermoelectric chillers can only cool 8–12°C below ambient, making them unreliable in tropical climates.

Does UV-resistant glass really matter for wine storage?

Yes. UV light triggers a chemical reaction in wine called 'light strike', degrading tannins and creating off-flavours. All WineTools wine chillers feature tawny UV-resistant double-paned glass to protect your collection.

How much does a wine chiller cost to run in Malaysia?

WineTools wine chillers range from 0.45 kWh/day (PW-28F, 26 bottles) to 1.35 kWh/day (PW-168F/PW-168DF, 154–165 bottles). At Malaysian electricity rates (approx. RM 0.22/kWh), monthly running costs range from RM 3 to RM 9–10.

Where can I buy a wine chiller in Malaysia?

WineTools.com.my offers 6 wine chiller models from 26 to 165 bottles, all Jiaxipera compressor-based with R600a refrigerant and CE/GS/RoHS/CCC certification. Delivery is available nationwide across Malaysia.
